Set in the Southern Song Dynasty, The Grand Passion tells the hot-blooded tale of a family of patriots who helps Commander Yue Fei in the war against the intruding Jin Kingdom in the north. Luk (Pai Ying) and his sister Ling (Polly Shang Kwan) are entrusted with a confidential document that contains the roster of rebels, and must venture into enemy territory on a deadly mission to deliver it to the rebel base. Both martial arts experts, the siblings manage to escape the Jin pursuers and traps. But will they succumb to their enemies when an evil Jin general captures and threatens to torture their mother?
