Two snake spirits change into women in order to discover the world of humans. The eldest, White Snake (Joey Wong), falls in love with a scholar whereas Green Snake (Maggie Cheung) searches what is love. They are hunted down by a monk (Zhao Wen Zou) whose goal is to destroy non-human creatures.
