Postman Sawaki's life has been downright boring and stagnant until the day he runs into an old pal, Noguchi, a drug dealer. Delivering a sale note, he visits Noguchi's apartment and leaves with a pack of amphetamine as well as, unknowingly, Noguchi's freshly cut finger.

From reading letters in his mailbag, Sawaki gets to know Sayoko, a girl staying in hospital due to terminal cancer. In the hospital he also befriends hit man Joe.

These new interests in his life, however, become evidence of a great conspiracy in the eyes of the police. And Sawaki ends up famous nationwide...by becoming a wanted suspect whose profile is broadcasted on every channel.

This is director Sabu's second feature after his sensational debut "Dangan Runner". Postman Blues shows an excellent blend of humor, satire, and sentiment.
