Mount Fuji, still an active volcano, shakes Edo, threatening destruction. Brave Mure Taizo (Konoe Jushiro) reclaims the legendary Sword of Heaven and Earth, stolen from Fuji years before by Shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu. Taizo hopes to restore peace and harmony to Japan by returning the ancient blade to its rightful place. But first, Taizo must endure fight after bloody fight, opposed by thieves, shogunate secret agents, savage hill bandits and finally, a powerful samurai named Sengen Kanshiro, (played by Konoe’s real-life son, Matsukata Hiroki) who will risk everything to make the blade his own.
